About Cathleen Stafford, MFT

Cathleen is a tremendously experienced therapist, who also happens to be down-to-earth and easy to relate to. She has personal (raising two teen boys!) and professional experience working with teens and young adults.

She uses a combination of therapeutic approaches to help her clients make progress on their goals and create the life they truly want.

Areas of focus:

Cathleen works with boys and girls ages 12 and up. She helps her clients learn to manage anxiety, depression and family conflict while improving their self-esteem. She also does amazing work with parents of teens, coaching them to parent from the heart and build healthy family relationships.

Cathleen also runs a fantastic support group for parents of teens called Thriving Parents.

  • Therapist at Second Genesis: addiction treatment center for adults
  • Therapist at Mental Health Systems: working with teens from military families

Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy from the University of San Diego
BA in Psychology from the University of Southern California
